Guest guest
Some of what I experience is the same. I was recently diagnosed w/ Vulvodynia and referred to a physiotherapist who has really helped. I'd be happy to share any info I have or answer any questions. -- In VulvarDisorders , superblu7@a... wrote: > Hi Ladies, > I want to describe my pain and maybe someone can help me and tell me what I > have. > > First, I have occasional itching where my pubic hair is sometimes. The pain and weird feeling you're describing are from inflammation of the tissue and nerves. It sounds like you have bit of a milder form of vvs. Vvs can be caused from yeast creams, birth control pills with more progesterone than estrogen, Depo-Provera, antibiotics, nonoxydol-9, etc... You might want to check and make sure you're not using any products with nonoxydol-9 in it - everything from shower gels to condoms have it. There's lots of treatments that you can try to reduce inflammation: Atropine cream, Lidocaine Cotton Ball treatment, oral anti-inflammatories like Motrin and Celebrex, Benedryl cream, antihistamines, etc... You can also try drugs that interfere with pain signals like Elavil and Neurontin. Atropine also interferes with pain signals and the Lidocaine Cotton Ball Treatment also helps retrains the nerves not to feel pain. You might also want to try the a gluten free diet. There's information about everything I've mentioned in the archives. If you tell us where you live, we might be able to suggest a vv/vvs specialist for you.
