Nope, it would not! That is why I did not say " diet " Coke.

I don't put ANY artificial sweeteners into my body, as they are poisonous.

Okay, from now on I'll say...stepping off my Coke Classic box...

How's that?

Thanks, Sandy, for those thoughts.

But unfortunately, refrigerated or not, I still often experience that slow burn,

and it does feel cold. Don't know why, doesn't make sense. I usually do NOT

keep my day's insulin in the fridge, and haven't for a good while, in hopes of

reducing the pain--but sometimes it doesn't.

I'm glad it works for you, though!

Thanks for the compliment on my post, Vicky. I know you were talking from your

own experience. Sometimes we can forget that it's still YMMV even in things we

think must be all the ducks in a row, so to speak. :>) I went for a couple of

years thinking something was wrong with me for feeling pain with the insulin

shots, and then I took the time to ask other people. DUH! could have spared

myself a bunch of grief. I guess we all have to keep learning the adage, " There

is no such thing as a stupid question. The only stupid question is the one

unasked. "

As I emphasized in my post, and want to emphasize yet again here, it is worth

all the pain and the burning to be able to have decent blood sugars, lessen

neuropathy, stave off worse glaucoma, etc. with the insulin. As well as eat the

occasional Krispy Kreme <mischievous grin>!

I was once an MT myself, and typed up many case histories of severe diabetic

complications--some which ultimately led to death--back in the early nineties.

It broke my heart too, and I shed quite a few tears myself, upon reading them.

While typing them. So I can understand your personal MO quite well, and think it

an admirable idea.

Warmly,

bad ideas,

LOL!!!!!!!!!

Like I think said, I too hate diabetes, " it sucks " .

Dear ml,

Sorry you feel that 'KK' is a swear word. I guess if you don't allow yourself to

have them occasionally, Krispy Kremes could become that type of expression. You

could incorporate it into a sort of new, pseudo-swear word, I suppose, like

this:

" Well, Krispy Kreme my foot, if I can ever eat doughnuts again! "
