What type of eye dr is that and what is it that they specialize in.

Thanks

Hi Annemarie and everyone,

Thanks for all of the responses. I should have written that CJ did have his

eyes checked by a pediatric opthamologist who is highly respected (ran the peds

program at Willis Eye, Philly). Annemarie, I don't know where you are, but if

you want to email me privately I can give you his name/number. We are in Bucks

County, PA.

>She's a pediatric opthamalogist

Thanks Sherry. Just asking because my kids with speech problems were also

found to be extremely farsighted (+6 to 7 lenses) with astigmatism in each

eye. After finding a vision program that consisted of a series of exercises

my oldest went from a +6 to7 with both astigmatisms to no glasses at all

and the astigmatism almost gone. His opthamologist said it would never

happen and that he would never even be able to get contacs unless they were

custom made but they were fine when we took him to get them rechecked so it

made me wonder if his was a true visual acuity problem or a muscle problem.

I wanted to find a better opthamologist who might know how to check since he

hasn't done the exercises in a while so he's starting to have trouble again

(its been 7 years without glasses-previously he wore them for 9 years) but

we're in Canada..Ontario.
