Guest guest
Hi Al, I had a lumbar block yesterday. It was one of the most painful that I have had. Of course it took three different tries to get the IV in but that isn't as bad as it could have been. The worse was when they put in the meds to put me under. I don't know about anyone else but it always burns my hand when they start the stuff going in. This time it took much longer for me to go under and the usually burning turned into BURNING! It was so bad I asked them to make it stop. Of course I finally went under and when I woke I was still in the procedure room but on the stretcher ready to go to recovery. Unfortunately I didn't get one ounce of relief this time. Actually I know I feel worse today but am hoping it will ease off some by tomorrow. However, I don't think it is going to do anything for my foot. At this point I just don't know what to do. I am tired of staying off of it, which of course is hard to do with a house full of animals. And I like taking care of Greig and its hard to cook when you can't stand. Of course my wheelchair is not working at this time, figures just when I need it again. Has anyone else had a badly swollen foot for a few months and if so what, if anything did you do to help it?Felice
Guest guest
I don't believe this, I just got a call 4:55 PST and I was told that my insurance company was missing some information and has not approved the procedure yet, which is at 8:30 tomorrow morning! So I am going in there not knowing if I will be having it done or not. I just love insurance companies....NOT
Guest guest
.. You cannot understand most of the time why they do things like this, at least I cannot. What did insurance company advise you to do in morning??? How long drive to get block? Was wondering if not long drive for block could go there and have hospital or doctors office call insurance for you. Anyone else have better idea, sure someone does. Sorry about this , know you are frustrated by this. I am just going to pray for you it happens tomorrow but if it does not know you will get it most likely yet this week, so don't despair my friend. s Momma JoAnn lumbar block/ INSURANCE > my insurance company missing some information and has not > approved the procedure yet, which is at 8:30 tomorrow morning! > > > > >
