thank you for your info. I however do not have access to the net, just

email. So I cannot look up anything. But I don't understand about the

immunizations. He can just not get them? I mean - what if he contracts

something. What do you do with your kids? Are you worried about them

getting one of these diseases or no? What kind of convincing words or

what book can I buy to convince my dh that we shouldn't do this? He is

the type that needs facts. I know you sent a lot of info but I'm still

a little confused. Sorry....

Don't worry....I had to look into it too. My Daughter's are both immunized

(they are 20 & 16) My Son is 2 and is not. I guess I am more worried about

the shots than the diseases. I had, mumps, measles, chicken pox, etc. as a

child & I am fine. (I think, LOL)

I have to go get my 16 year old from Alternative school...I will send you

some links when I get back and some good book titles too.

I would just be very concerned since your baby did have reactions already,

that is one of the reasons not to risk it again....

I'll be back in a while.

Yes, I think the DTaP is pretty common-place now. We had a BIG immunization

fair not too long ago (the state provided the immunizations) and we had DTaP.

Wow - this is really freaking me out! But I'm glad to know now and do my

homework. So would you (, Wendi, anyone else) advise most strongly

against the DPT? Do they give the D and T parts without the P?

Also, it sounds like the polio vaccine is pretty useless. Do you agree?

And do you think it helps to push the vaccines back by some number of months

til baby is stronger?

I work with special needs kids and I know there has been a HUGE increase in

the number of kids with PDD/autistic spectrum. This really could be a

cause. Yikes!

So is that a good summary - the worst being DPT and the most useless being

Polio? Are there others I should avoid? I will go back and do some more

reading later.

Thanks for the info. I couldn't read all those stories either but I read

most of them. I feel ill.

Unfortunately I am no expert. I am about where you are. I selectively

immunized (DPaT, Polio, Tetanus and nothing else) Both of my children had

reactions every single time. They both had a huge lump that was red, hard

and hot at the injection site. They also had varying degrees of fever

lasting for days and general restlessness and crankiness. I don't know

what I am going to do about boosters. I know I am going to take both

children to a homeopath when I can afford it and find out about my options.

Homeopathic remedies...

I had a tetanus shot because of a serious cat bite through my hand...

If my kids needed one, I would call my homeopathic doctor first....I trust

him...he told me to have the shot for the cat bite...

Hi ,

Just curious, are there special qualifications or anything, and is it only

for high school age kids? I recall hearing the name mentioned in my area,

It's a program we have here for high school kids...it's in a separate

building & the kids go at their own pace, they graduate just like the other

kids..it's more like a private or home school.

, you are not alone. I also have immunized all my kids. They have

had all the shots that are " required " , I did not get the chicken pox shot,

been thru this for real already (with most of them anyway). I feel it is a

personal choice that we parents have to make for our kids, so no one should

feel bad on the list whether you do or you don't. Joan

My children are both immunized against tetanus. I am going to start

investigating now as I am not immunizing another baby, but I do know that

tetanus has the least reactions.

I think Wendi knows a lot more than me on the DPT...

Please don't freak out....just learn and read. I'm not putting out any guilt

trips or anything like that...

I don't do guilt as it is a use of too much of my energy ) I am just

thinking of the children that have had these reactions....

I guess that this is a personal decision for us as parents to make based on

the information and knowledge we acquire...

another thing is...time, you have the time to learn and read or not read.

You can change your mind anytime... for or against vaccines....

We're still doing the homeopathic vaccines with ...when they are over we

wait a year and go through the series again.

6 separate Mother tinctures, Polio, Diptherinum, Ledum Palustre, Parotidnum,

Pertussinum, Variolinum.

gets them in a certain order...he takes 2 drops under the tongue, then

2 weeks later, 2 more drops under the tongue.....all in order.

PS on a side note these are not expensive at all...but we are under a

doctors care...It's not something I would get out of a book and experiment

on my baby with...needs a professional.

We all do what we feel is right at the time...my Daughters both are & my Son

isn't.

I hope that no one thinks I'm on a high horse or something, cause I'm not at

all.......I'm here on earth learning and sharing with a group of ladies that

are dong the same thing...it's a great group of caring people !
