Guest guest
Dianne, I got a steroid injection into my shoulder in April. It did nothing for the pain, but I felt it was worth trying in keeping with the idea that surgery was the last choice. It did raise my BG that evening and the next day, but that's it. Guest guest
Well, yes, I know at least one person who got diabetes from extended use of steroids - Ron Sebol, my " online diabetic mentor " . But since you already have diabetes, at least you don't have to worry getting it, smile. As far as making your diabetes worse, it most likely will raise your BGs. I've actually never heard from a diabetic whose BGs didn't get raised from steroids. Guest guest
I had a cortizone shot in April for a nerve problem and it didn't bother my bgs at all. I would've been delighted if it had since that was during the time I was experiencing lows while going to the gym .
