Hi there K. If I knew for a fact that I had no adrenal issues and no

heart problems, I would personally start on one grain. But if there

was any suspicion of potential problems, I would start on 1/2 grain,

and go up another 1/2 grain within the next two weeks, and so on

until I got to 2 grains. At 2 grains, I'd hold for a minimum of 5

weeks to see where it got me. It's all individual, but that may help

you decide what you want to do for yourself.

Also, you might try dividing your dose, and taking it sublingually.

Have you read NATURAL THYROID 101?

your story read like mine. I have no doubt i was slightly deficient in

thyroid hormone for over 15 years. Every problem i ever went to a doctor about

is

directly related to low thyroid. i just didn't know enough when i had those

TSH readings of 2.+ to know that they really weren't " normal " as the docs said.

I think you definitely need to check out your adrenal function first.

Thin person with cold hands and feet that is tired esp after a night's rest and

has super low BP...makes me think adrenal.

,

ALot of these symptoms sound like adrenals to me. Have you read any books on

adrenals? I can't think of titles right now, besides Dr. Jefferies' " Safe Uses

of Cortisol " , which is pretty expensive. But you can visit

www.adrenalfatigue.org and read some there and probably find the book title

there. Also Dr. Rind's site is good: www.drrind.com.

in Va.-----

my thyroid levels are normal...that is why, all these years, no one ever said

anything...

but my BP has always been low - when i was pregnant, they took it once and i

joked with them " Dont you want to check to see if i am still alive? " (it was

90/50 or something like that) and they did not respond...

fatigued ESP in the afternoons and rising...

cold hands and feet - i was the butt of jokes in our prayer circle - " dont

hold her hands " ;o)

pulse rate is low (under 60) but always figured that was bc i am in such good

shape....

low basal temp - i always tell people that 98.6 is a fever for me...

am getting more colds than ever in my life...colds that i cannot " shake " ....

i dont have a weight problem and do exercise regularly although sometimes it

takes everything in me to keep going....

mild depression for years...have tried all KINDS of things for this....

irritable...more so lately....

but, as we are saying, that is also symptoms of perimenopause....PMS....mid

life crisis...middle school aged children....

i would not say i have severe symptoms but enough to have me wondering, for a

few years, if i had mild hypo. all the tests said no, so i accepted it as

something else until i started reading all the stuff on Thyroid 101 and the

things you all are saying...

WOW...eyes open WIDE...now SWALLOW....;o)

THANKS For listening....;o)
