Guest guest
Tim Have you changed any meds recently??? Almost sounds like the allergic reaction I had when I first started some meds (Of course, they were the pain meds, Morphine, Oxy, etc). As I continued to take them, it worsened... until I itched EVERYWHERE. I also get the " RSD " rash, usually on my hands, but that is blistery, and itchy and you can definately see it. Guest guest
Jo, I am on no medications, I wondering if it could be nerves? It just started about three weeks ago. The itiching is isolated to three distinct areas and never moves from there...trying some cortozone creme today to see if that will control it. No rash thank goodness. Guest guest
Lori: Hi! I too am having a terrible time with my legs and feet itching!! It's driving me crazy I can't stand the burn after I scratch it. But I feel if I don't scratch it I will go nuts. I have tried putting cremes on it. It does help alittle with a cooling feeling. I scratch so hard, it's a no wonder that I don't make myself bleed. Also, I understand that Jeanne had the Morphine Pump put in? My doctor wants to set me up for this, but I want this to be my last option. I am taking 200 mgs of Methadone, and 100 mgs of Fentanyl (sp?) the Patch at the sametime. This takes the edge off, but it doesn't help the electrical jolts!!! They are so painful, I scream out in pain with they hit me. I have taken several nerve meds for this and nothing has helped. My Mom wants me to see a Doctor in Chicago, IL. Dr. Lubenow, does anyone know of him? I also am recovering from "WRIST DROP", I fell asleep at the computer one day last month, for 3 hours I woke up I had no control of my arm, or nor feeling. I was numb. My doctor told me last week I am looking at 6 months to 2 years of getting my wrist back. I had damaged the Radial Nerve. I am scared that RSD will set in my right arm. I am feeling alot of pain, I don't know if it's the lack of muscle or RSD setting in. Have a good day and hopefully a pain free day. We all can wish for this!!!! It's this one spot and the whole area around my knee is always red or purple so I can't tell if there is a rash or not since it's always there. But the bad thing is I can't really feel that part of my knee, so when I scratch it doesn't help, just makes it feel gross to be scratching it. I had thought about putting cream on it but since it is so discolored all the time I didn't know if I should. Any ideas? Thanks! Guest guest
Janet, I hear ya on the itching, there seems to be alot of that going around right now. I wonder why that is, like change of weather or something. I know it sounds crazy but so many of us are saying the same thing. I have not heard from Jeanne again, I'm actually a little worried, but when I do I will ask her more about the pump and how it is working for her. I do hope I hear from her soon. I also understand when you say the meds take the edge off but you are not getting any relief really. I'm the same way, I take 7 different things and I'm still in unbearable pain. My doctor just upped me to 70 mg of Methadone so we'll see if that helps. I'm not familiar with the Chicago area so I can't help you there, but hopefully someone will have some info for you. Also you should do a search online, use google and just type in his name, you should be able to find some information. I am sorry to hear about the wrist drop - 6 months to 2 years, that's terrible! I will pray you get it back soon and that the RSD does not set in your right arm. Mine has spread to both of my arms from shoulders to fingertips and I hate it, so you will be in my prayers. I hope you are feeling well and I'll talk to you soon. <hugs> Lori
