Guest guest
OK, imagine me sitting here doing the " Home Alone " face...AHHHHHH!!!!!! I am so freaking stressed and need to vent to please skip on down to advice needed if you want to. I must start by saying my MIL and FIL are hispanic and my FIL speaks very little English. My MIL is driving me NUTS! She babysits in the morning. In April she was supposed to be at the house at 9:30a and staying until 12:30p, but now I have to be here at 9:00 so she is supposed to be there at 8:30 and leave at 12:30. She shows up about 8:43 and wants to talk when I have to walk out the door at 8:45 to get to work on time! Then, like I said, she has only been babysitting since April and once a week she tells me that she MIGHT be late the next day because she has something she needs to do (doctors appt., drivers license, go to doctor with FIL, has an appt. at her apartments because she thinks they are going to raise her rent next February (yep...I said Feb.), etc....) I have to call my boss and let him know I might be late because my MIL has something she needs to do. Then I sit around on the house on pins and needles waiting to see if she'll call and say she'll be there on time. So far everytime she has been there on time and I have not been late to work but it's just the principal of the thing! She's got all afternoon to go do her crap so why does she do this to me? Now this Friday she has an appt. at 9:00a and said she would send my FIL over to sit with Davian until she could get there. NOTE: my FIL works nights and won't get home til 5:00a so I think he would like to sleep but then again the only time he gets to see Davian is on Monday's and Friday's because of the hours he works. I said that my grandma could watch Davian Friday AM and my MIL got an attitude and said, " well it's up to you but Pedro would like to see Davian. " I guess I'll let him do it. AND I am so tired of my MIL telling me that my son is hot or cold! Our entire living room (where Davian spends his days) has windows along the front wall. The living room gets very hot very easy because of the sun shining in EVEN with the mini blinds closes. I'll come home for lunch to feed Davian and it'll be 100 freaking degrees in there and she'll say, " I was afraid to turn on the AC because I did not want Davian to get cold. " OK, logical explanation, BUT when she's sitting there sweating her butt off shouldn't that be an indication that it really is hot? I mean she's going to dehydrate my baby! I could go on forever about all the other things she does that pi** me off but I've made this long enough. Thanks for listening. ADVICE NEEDED! This past Monday I had to start being at work at 9:00 instead of 10:00 (JERK OF A BOSS!) Sunday night Davian woke up twice, I should have known he would since I had to wake up at 6:00). He woke up at 1:00 and I got up to feed him and then he woke up again at 5:30 and I got up to feed him. He only sucked for like three minutes and then started playing. I decided to put him in his swing and see if he'd go back to sleep...he did around 6:00. I got ready for work and he woke up at 7:30 so I sat down to feed him at 8:00 and he didn't want to eat, he just kept playing. I left a small bottle for my MIL which he didn't take any of. He barely took a nap that morning and when I went home at lunch to feed him he fell asleep at the breast! Tuesday morning he woke up around 7:30 and after changing him and getting him dressed I stalled for time til 8:00. When I sat down to feed him he did the same thing! He kept playing and pulling and looking around and just wouldn't eat! I tried the football hold (not easy with a 4 month old), laying down, walking, etc. and he just would not eat. Then last night I gave him his bath and sat down to feed him and he did it again! Sometimes he would bite down on my nipple, which he started doing last week, and I would pull him close to the breast to block his nose so he would let go and then he would did it again. I gave him some Baby Orajel in case he's starting to teethe but he just bit harder! Finally I got frustrated and warmed up a bottle of 2 ounces of EBM. He took it just fine and then it was gone so I went to warm up more. When I sat down to feed him he wouldn't take it. He was fussing and bitching and I finally got frustrated and gave him to DH to try to feed. DH was going to go put him in his crib to let him " cry it out " and I said WAIT...let me try getting him to sleep. I held him in my arms and rocked him and started to sing and he fell asleep within minutes. I put him in his crib and he only cried out " wah " and then fell asleep! I'm so afraid that he's not interested in the breast anymore. On a good night he'll get his bath, nurse, fall asleep at the breast, I'll put him in his crib, then he sleeps for about 7 hours before waking up again to eat. I haven't changed anything that I've been doing. Any advice would be appreciated! BTW, I know sometimes eating spicey foods and such can make our milk taste different so that's why I tried the bottle but 3 days in a row? He didn't want to eat again this morning! Love, Sorry so long!
