Guest guest
I bet it will be better!! and will they call you back to tell you that? probably not!!! cool ! cris Re: letter to endo Yall might remember my long letter to my endo a few weeks ago. It was about how she didn't need to be so worried about my suppressed TSH and high hormone levels. And I gave her lots of info to support that position. She had wanted me to cut my dosage and all because it all alarmed her. Well...i just had a call from her nurse and here's how it went. Dr. Endo got your letter. I said " yes? " And Miss Endo Nurse says " Dr. Endo wants you to know that a suppressed TSH may cause bone loss " . And me being the informed thyroid patient I am, goes " there are no proven studies for that " . At which time endo nurse goes " that's why she said MAY...but she would like you to get a bone density test and follow up later " . So thyroid patient says OK. Actually...if that's all she had to say about my letter....I did pretty good. And Dr. Endo is going to be so surprised that my bone densitity probably gets better because of the Armour! hehe... Just wanted to share... Cindi
Guest guest
Good for you for having the guts to speak up! Love it . Can't wait to hear your results, though I almost agree with my mom on the fact that those full body scans cannot be good (radiation etc...). Many articles out there talk about the mammograms causing more damage than good (cause or speed up breast cancer). > Yall might remember my long letter to my endo a few weeks ago. Guest guest
Maybe the endo is thinking, but then again, maybe the endo is being devious also. Meaning, Come spend some more money, and I'm not listening to all this. I don't trust an endo, above all doctors. They generally know less about the thyroid than any other endocrine organ, and they definitely do not see how it all fits together, in any case. It is a Big Brotherhood/Sisterhood in that specialization, and I'll be glad when it completely changes. From the statistics I'm seeing, some primary care docs, internal medicine docs, and some osteopaths are the best thyroid docs, according to many thyroid patients.
