Guest guest
Thanks for this site Vicki. It is important enough to keep for every newbie to read I think. Here is the info which well controled diabetics already understand but which your doctors & the ADA will never tell a newbie. Absolutely a great MUST READ for those who don't believe the necessity of tight control on a continuous basis. cappie Greater Boston Area T-2 10/02 6/04 A1c: 4.3 Mod 100 carb diet, walking, Metformin. Guest guest
I was stunned by the info. My Doc never told me allot of this. He probably didn't know...of course he was the one who thot I got diabetes because I was a pig and lazy...which was not so. Thank you for sharing. Getting bgs below 140 is gonna be more of a priority now for me. I was told 160-180 was okay two hours later. Wow. Sometimes I get a mean streak and think, " It would be good if diabetes was like rabies, you bite the doc, give it to him, and let him see what you go through. " Maybe they wouldn't be so judgemental if it happened to them. Okay. Done ranting. Tam

And you're still SEEING this doctor? Goodness, I think I'd have been out the door before he could finish saying it! My doc's a bit lenient with the upper levels, as it seems most docs are. I'm finding I'm having some very good readings now that I've started eating buckwheat the past few mornings -- not just after breakfast, but all day! I barely got above 120 today, even *ONE* hour after eating. Unfortunately, my digestive track doesn't seem to like it, so I may have to slow down until my system gets used to it. Guest guest
Is that buckwheat pancakes? Or is it cereal, never tried it. It is good for BGs I take it. My email has bounced twice so may have missed some thing.
