Hi cappie,

I agree. I've lost over 90 lbs and it has in no way affected my blood glucose.

It didn't improve it and it didn't make it worse.

Conversely, I used my meter to get my BG's controlled, and the weight melted off

without any concerns about weight from me. I am at a plateau now because my

doctor worried I was too strict with my carbs and losing weight too fast!

Yikes! At no time has weight melted off me! I have to fight like the devil to

lose anything. What kind of meter do you have?

Bayer Ascensia " Breeeze " - but I'm sure all Glucometers do the same Dianne -

nothing magical about mine <LOL> It is probably a YMMV thing - and if so I am

very very fortunate because I fought the weight battle since my teens. Sorry it

is not working for you :(

The only " melt " I've ever had was the one that came with my separation and

divorce though I was able to maintain it til I hit menopause (and did enjoy

every minute of being almost thin!). The Big D is a common melt but not

exactly healthy either, what with tons of stress.

Did I say it wasn't? I've lost 93 lbs, as I said in an earlier msg. It's just

never been *easy*.

Sorry, I misconstrued Di = and congrats on the success!!! I think it was in my

frame of mind that made " weight loss " easy. You see I was not trying to lose

weight, I was - out of sheer fear - trying to control my blood sugar and prevent

vision loss or PN - my focus was on that and the weight loss was only a

corollary that I noticed as time went by!
