Guest guest
My ferritin was a 74 this time (June 3rd). Last time (Feb 26th) it was a 63, but what I don't understand is that this time my SERUM iron was too low, a 30 out of a range of 35-185, with the litle bit higher ferritin storage. I tested in the midafternoon, 3 hrs after eating a huge juicy hamburger. I also ate one at work at about 3 in the morning, so this serum value seems kind of goofy to me. I know it doesn't seem to hold as much importance as the ferritin, but I just thought that was strange, considering the THINGS that I normally eat, plus WHEN I ate them. Re: Ferritin > My ferritin is 37 on a scale of 10-232. > Is that considered low for hypo? > Mine was 38 and my told me to take iron pills. Janie says we are best at around 70 . Guest guest
Janie is right, till you get that ferritin level up, your body will have a hard time with the thyroid meds and you will feel very hypo. 1/2 is from being hypo and half from low ferritin. My level was 20. I felt tired, my heart beat fast like I was having a heart attack. >
