Guest guest
I've seen this mentioned before but this is new out this month... About the connection between Genital ulcers & Epstein-Barr virus. Dee~ J Am Acad Dermatol. 2004 Nov;51(5):824-6. Genital ulcers caused by Epstein-Barr virus.Cheng SX, Chapman MS, Margesson LJ, Birenbaum D.Department of Medicine, Section of Dermatology, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, New Hampshire 03756, USA.In North America, the most common cause of vulvar ulcers is infection with herpes simplex virus. However, Epstein-Barr virus can also cause vulvar ulcers, and may be underrecognized. Unlike herpes simplex virus, Epstein-Barr virus is not necessarily sexually transmitted. Therefore, it is particularly important to include in the differential diagnosis of genital ulcers for patients for whom a diagnosis of a venereal infection has important psychosocial consequences. We report three cases of acute primary Epstein-Barr virus infection in which the presenting symptoms were vulvar ulceration.PMID: 15523369 [PubMed - in process]

Guest guest
Ora thank you so much for that site about Epstein Barr (mononucleosis) http://www.nutritionhelpguide.com/health_concerns/Epstein-Barr-mononucleosis.asp There was so much there far beyond what you sent out that "I" thought was excellent especially how a diet with certain vitamins or minerals can help build up the immune system to fight off the Herpes virus which it's connected to. I was absolutely shocked to find out how much the Herpes virus is connected to so many diseases not only the Epstein Barr one but Bells Palsy, as well as the fact (so they say) that 90% of us carry the antibody to EB. It led me on a long all night journey , *grin*. Thanks again Dee~
