I bought one at a Walgreen's store for $4.95. Bracelet kind. Too big for my

wrist so I wear it around my ankle. : )

I hate to put a " damper " on the subject but I worked with the EMS and they are

going to look at your wrist (left wrist first) or the carotid artery in your

neck to check your pulse FIRST. I don't EVER remember checking anyone's ankles.

If it's too big for your wrist you can always take some links out. That's what

I had to do to mine.

I have one I wear around my neck I purchased thru Medic Alert. Its a great

comfort that if someone needed to they could call the number on it and find

out the name of my doctor, her phone number, the medications I take (doses

and when) and the conditions I have.

That was my thought too Tootie that it was the left wrist they looked at
