Therapist Recommendations

Hi Eveyone,

I'm looking for a certified Prompt speech therapist and an OT with

suspended equipment. I live in northern Passaic County (New Jersey) near

the New York State border. I'm close to Bergen County.

I was given a bunch of names from the Prompt Institute, but all but one

of those turned out to be therapists working for school districts and

not in private practice. As for the one, she's taken the courses but is

not Prompt certified.

Your recommendations are appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Audrey

If she has taken the coursework then she should understands the purpose and

technique of prompt. In order to become certified you have to submite a video

tape which not everyone has time to complete. Something to consider. Also many

speech therapsits working for the public schools will see private patients to

earn extra money.
