My guess is that your Bartholin glands are usually inflamed and when you're

aroused some of the other glands in the area busy making lubrication are also

enlarged for awhile - which may makeyour Bartholin glands more prominent. It's

just a theory. But I've experienced something like what you're describing in

the past before I got the chronic inflammation in that area decreased.

What is the name of the book/author you're following for cleansing? There's

a woman on the vv list that is interested in reading the book.

Hi

About an inch or so inside the vagina you have the pc muscle. The condition

vaginismus (which I have in top of my vulvar vestibulitis) is a condition where

you have a muscle spasm in this muscle which makes penetration extremely

painful and/or impossible.

I'm not sure that it is the muscle that makes this pain you're describing, with

a muscle spasm it hurts everywhere and the vagina tightens very much. But when

you're very aroused you probably contract this muscle without knowing it, most

women tighten these muscles without thinking about it when they are very

aroused and it also contracts during orgasm.

In my case my VV probably hurt me so much that my body started to contract this

muscle to " protect " the area, we always contract our muscles when it hurts.

Maybe you've been so sensitive that you clench your muscles without thinking

about it. Just as when someone tries to poke your eye, you blink. Or if someone

looks like they're going to slap you, you winch and jump backwards.

My suggestion... Try inserting a finger with lots of lube when you aren't

aroused and see how it feels. If you do find a specific spot inside your vagina

that hurts every time, I think you should see your gyno. But if you think it

can be a muscle thing, just work on getting it used to touching and you'll be

fine in no time.

Good luck!

/Sofia

Shoot, 2 years ago I didnt know i even had glands there! LOL Its only happened a few times though so i dunno. Its probably nothing to worry about. dusty wrote:

Well, what is the function of Bartholin's. Are they intended to leak fluids during arousal to aide in penetration or something? If so, and they themselves are blocked or inflamed, perhaps arousal could then be painful?

But it only has happened three times, all three times when i was very aroused and it passed in about 5-10 minutes. Oh I know where my G spot is LOL It was found by the mostest gorgeous man ever on accident LOL He was proud of himself though This pain is on the left and the right when it happened. DTroll wrote:

HI Candi,

My G spot is only about a knuckles length inside, LOL (as you mentioned the pain being only that far in) and then you make the letter C towards the front and it's definitely there. They say that's why men can easily miss it, thinking it's much further up. But it's not painful either for me.

Of course it enlarges considerably the longer the session goes *chuckle* Not saying it's your G spot hon, but since it's only when aroused it was a thought PLUS you saying it goes away in 10-15 minutes afterwards, yep, sounds like blue balls, to 'me' that is, *chuckle* as that's how it works with men too.

But might be the bartholins too since you mentioned being on the sides and maybe swollen when having sex or vaginismus where that muscle tenses up with fear of pain with penetration. Only your doctor knows for sure.. ;)
