Blindness, kidney failure, or amputation are things that I'd have to live on with. Cardiovascular Disease, the Leading Diabetes-Related Killer, Is One of the Least Talk to a loved one who has diabetes about what concerns them most about their disease and chances are you will hear " going blind, " " kidney failure, " or " losing a foot. " These are all serious health problems, but the most deadly complication of all - cardiovascular disease - rarely makes it to the top of their list of concerns. And was fortunate to have very little effects from it. So you could in theory survive the stroke or heart attack.
