Guest guest
I am taking 70/30 . My doctor started me with 2o unit in the the morning and 10 at night. My doctor diagnois me on July 25 in September he did the A1c test which was 8.8. He kept me on the same dose. but by October I started have low around 10:30 in the morning. He began to lose my am dose . I kept doing my test to see where my sugar level was and he would lower it after 10 day. In December when I went my for another A1c test it was 5.6. He adjusted it again. Now I am doing 8 unit in the morning 8 at night. He is still having me do my test to see where my sugar level is. I know is my reading is too high in the afternoon for more than three days to add another unit to my shot.So with me taking the novolog 70/30 mix my shot are sliding. I am just now feeling comfortable about adjusting without calling my doctor every day. But he has really been great and has had alot of patience with me. Being diagnois a diabetic for 6 months has been a learning experience for me. Thanks goodness for my doctor and this group I know I would not have made it.
