What about if you already have a cold or flu? Should you still get a

shot? I've been asked a couple of times if I wanted a shot and have

said no, because I currently have some type of cold, and they have

always let it go at that.

You should tell them you have a cold and ask the nurse if it is okay to get

the vaccine since you have a cold.

I don't think it is recommended to get any kind of a shot while ill. I

would not give my horses any vaccination type shots if they shows signs

of any illness.
