It would be pretty close but you'd probably want to add about 2 servings of

butter to your serving size, too. And most veggies, you only get about 1/3

to 1/4 cup (which is really small), so if you're getting a heaping portion,

it's probably actually 2 servings instead of one. That's my whole gripe with

eating out anywhere. They tend to give you double or triple of what the

serving size is supposed ot be on most things. (That and the extra butter

and salt most restaurants put in.)

One thing that helped me was to get a book at the pharmacy that

spells out calories, carb counts, fat calories, etc, on every kind of

food. Though I rely on package labels, I still refer to it all the

time for non-packaged foods.

An accurate food scale is also a help for a diabetic, as well as

measuring cups & measuring spoons. Might as well outfit yourself, if

you are new at this.
