In checking arm glucose you are suppose to do it 2 hours before or 2

hours after a meal.

with the one touch. I got a reading off 346 which blew me away! I

checked it 5 mins later from the finger and it was 240. Is this

normal? Anyone use the arm and have this problem?

The blood is very close to the surface on the fingertips, and therefore

easier to extract; at least that is what I have been told.

Personally, I use an AccuCheck, and collect from my arm. I spend most

of my workdays on the computer, and one of my hobbies is playing the

piano, so I don't like the idea of deliberately jabbing my fingertips.

Re: checking sugars from arm

I have a question. Why do we check from our fingers and not another part

of our body. I mean, there has to be a reason, right?
