Guest guest
In checking arm glucose you are suppose to do it 2 hours before or 2 hours after a meal. > Today I tried for the first time to check my sugars from the arm with the one touch. I got a reading off 346 which blew me away! I checked it 5 mins later from the finger and it was 240. Is this normal? Anyone use the arm and have this problem? > > I liked it because it did not hurt at all but, I want to be sure I am getting the right readings. > > Thanks for any tips > > Oregon > >
Guest guest
I have a question. Why do we check from our fingers and not another part of our body. I mean, there has to be a reason, right?
Guest guest
The blood is very close to the surface on the fingertips, and therefore easier to extract; at least that is what I have been told. Personally, I use an AccuCheck, and collect from my arm. I spend most of my workdays on the computer, and one of my hobbies is playing the piano, so I don't like the idea of deliberately jabbing my fingertips.
