Guest guest
I dont believe he is trying to prove i have adenomyosis by getting an mri. i think he is trying to see if i have any large lesions from it. I know just as well as any other girl that has endo that there is no way to prove it except by surgery. My gyno (not the dr that will be doing my upcoming surgeries) ordered sonograms of my pelvis and vagina and they found cysts that way 2 years ago. She swore up and down i had a dermoid cyst, and that was all. the cyst didnt go away w.in 2 months, they actually got bigger. so i had laporascapy to get them removed. i started reading up on it b4 surgery, and i knew right away b4 surgery that i had endo. noone could tell me otherwise. sure enough, when i woke up she told me i had 2 chocolate cysts that they removed, and they removed the endo, and scraped my ovary off my pelvis, bc the lesions had attatched it there. From the pain i am having, and from the physical examinations he thinks that i have it, and an mri can show signs of it. i know it doesnt prove if i have it or not. At this point im trying not to focus on that bc im 21 and i desperately want children of my own, and i know there arent cures for it. The endo, and the vestibule surgery, im willing to give a try and im just praying i dont need any organs removed. Did you have your endo removed? have you ever felt like it is still there, or has come back? Do you think that your endo can have anything to do w your vulvodynia? i think that mine has something to do w it. If i could get a lower half tranplant, i would have already had it by now. who needs all these problems? especially when you htink they have 1 problem solved. six months later i get vestibulitus, and now my endo might be back. yeah, good times. damn lower half sorry, im feeling pretty bitter right now, but i am thankful bc things could be worse. guess right now im just feelin blue about it -jenn _________________________________________________________________ Check out Election 2004 for up-to-date election news, plus voter tools and more! http://special.msn.com/msn/election2004.armx
Guest guest
Kristy, I tried everything from diets to creams to meds to therpies and nothing worked for 3 years. My doctor said I was a good canidate for vestibulectomy because my pain was localized to the outside of the vagina in specific areas and those are the areas he removed. i would say that my pain has gone from an 10 to a 3 with no pain without sex and a 3 after in which case I take Vioxx 25mg as an antiinflammatory and I have no pain within 24hrs. again. It did however take me 7 months to completely heal. I wish you luck in your efforts and decisions. ~Kelli
Guest guest
Nothing was said about the pain moving--he did say that the pain could get worse, but it has done nothing but improve over the past 2 years. ps. I wasn't responding to , but Kristy who appears to be considering sugery. ~Kelli
