I'll use diet orange, creme, or root beer soda in the vanilla. (Ice can be added to make colder, but it also increases the volume.) I think they taste pretty good! When I make them up with just water, they are okay but I pretty much chug them. Nothing extraordinary about the flavor. Not even the chocolate one in chocolate soda is as good as when I put some fruit in it. ;^) Oh, and I really prefer them blended as opposed to shaken. It just mixes together better and is smoother. ;^) In Charlottesville, VA
Guest guest
Here's my fave: Proscore 55 vanilla, blended with 1 cup coffee and a tablespoon of Carnation Sugar Free Hot Chocolate mix. I throw this in the blender and have two every morning. Gets me going with a good hit of protein. Don't try and reheat in the microwave, however. If it is too hot it " cooks " the protein and gets clumpy. But it doesn't take long to cool enough to blend well, and then it is still a warm drink for the morning. Guest guest
USANA---don't know too much about it. The criteria in the bar would be how much protein to how much sugar g. Does it contain milk and if so, how far down in the ingredients? So, many contain milk solids as a binder, so no big deal. Some of our local people are selling it, but I didn't see that I could afford it to take the larger dosage I would need to get by the lack of stomach. I'm sticking with what I really need that I KNOW I need, rather than guessing at what might be " fun " . As it is, I stay up late at night, go through the wholesale catalogs and buy " fun stuff " that is not essential to WLS people. Like special hair shampoos and all these " toys " . Sigh. These are easy to spot here as they are on a special shelf, half price. Hahahaha! Thanks, www.vitalady.com Re: My Protein Experiences > > >>>>MMMM, the grape is wonderful! So far it's my fave, .
