Well, Kim, I go for flavor. ;^)

I use either the ProBlend55 or the ProScore100 (chocolate or vanilla) with

either 4-6 oz. orange juice (I can see shuddering now due to the

sugar in the OJ) or diet chocolate soda with 1/2 banana and/or a handful of

berries (straw- or rasp- or black-) and 1/2 packages of Sweet'N'Low and some

ice. I'll use diet orange, creme, or root beer soda in the vanilla. (Ice can

be added to make colder, but it also increases the volume.) I think they

taste pretty good!

When I make them up with just water, they are okay but I pretty much chug

them. Nothing extraordinary about the flavor. Not even the chocolate one in

chocolate soda is as good as when I put some fruit in it. ;^)

Oh, and I really prefer them blended as opposed to shaken. It just mixes

together better and is smoother. ;^)

Here's my fave:

Proscore 55 vanilla, blended with 1 cup coffee and a tablespoon of Carnation

Sugar Free Hot Chocolate mix. I throw this in the blender and have two every

morning. Gets me going with a good hit of protein. Don't try and reheat in

the microwave, however. Yecchhh.

I let it cool for a few minutes in the blender before I put the other stuff

in. If it is too hot it " cooks " the protein and gets clumpy. But it doesn't

take long to cool enough to blend well, and then it is still a warm drink for

the morning.

Please check the sugars on the No Sugar Added CIB. Last time I checked, they

or not to buy either or both. $$$

I find if I let a cup of coffee sit for a few moments that it doesn't curdle.

I have this every morning so I know it does work for me. One bit of advice,

though: *never* try and reheat it in the microwave! Double BLECH!

Ohhhhh, I didn't say PB was a bad thing! NO, like it myself. But in moderation

and NOT interfering with the Perfection of my ProScore 100!

Yes, I used to put coffee in my protein until I decided I didn't like anything

tampering with perfection. Coffee pot water was OK, but NO heating or I ended

HERESY! HERESY! Dan! Dan!! She puts PS100 as #2!!! Well, at least I know

they are both very high quality. And I guess you could have high quality GRIT,

so what matters is having high quality and good numbers (26g protein, 1 or 2g

sugar, no fat or carbs to speak of, low calories) and nearly nuttin' in what you

mix with it.

One of the girls likes it with Sour Watermelon pop. It's one of those clear

pops they sell at Wal-mart, 0g of sugar? EWWWWW!

USANA---don't know too much about it. The criteria in the bar would be how much

protein to how much sugar g. Does it contain milk and if so, how far down in

the ingredients? So, many contain milk solids as a binder, so no big deal.

Some of our local people are selling it, but I didn't see that I could afford it

to take the larger dosage I would need to get by the lack of stomach. I'm

sticking with what I really need that I KNOW I need, rather than guessing at

what might be " fun " . As it is, I stay up late at night, go through the

wholesale catalogs and buy " fun stuff " that is not essential to WLS people.

Like special hair shampoos and all these " toys " . Sigh. These are easy to spot

here as they are on a special shelf, half price. Hahahaha!
