Hi. My name is Laurie and I am a 40 year old mother of three living

on Long Island. I am a teacher, cheerleading coach and most of all a

very involved mother to her kids (sports, sports and more sports!!!)

I had my surgery on Monday, May 8, 2006. It was as I thought,

painful and hard! I am very gassy and I hate the protein

supplements! I assume that I have to get past the first 4-8 weeks

and it becomes easier. Will someone please share with me some

differend foods that they ate during stage 2. I have had eggs, soft

cheeses, jello, broth and other things, but eating that stuff for 8

weeks might just kill me LOL. Any suggestions to help me get over

the hump. Also is anyone loving their protein supplements? If so,

please share the name so I can try them. I had this surgery because

I am just sick and tired of not being able to move. I have no

control of my left leg because of back surgery and the numbness

drives me crazy. I also have thyroid problems which aren't the cause

of, but don't help with the effort to lose weight. I decided in mid

February to do the surgery and got done with the doctors visits

quickly only to be sidelined by my final test, a bad endoscopy.

Waiting that extra 4-6 weeks to be cleared was hell. Second guessing

myself every day, but never giving up. I did it and I just need some

words of wisdom from someone who isn't having the best of times with

the foods. Thanks for listening and I look forward to talking to you

all soon!
