Hello there,

I wanted to write and tell you the vitamins my 21 month old daughter takes.

They are suitable for babies from 6 months to 14 years old. They are called

'Floradix-Kindervital-for children'.They are made in Germany but are

exported here to GB and so they may be available in USA? The vits are

extracted directly from Fruit and vegs and some herbs, like Chamomile

flowers etc. Some vitamins are man made and I tend to steer clear of those

and stick to just natural things.

Hope this is helpful,

Ruth Acaster

I found a great article in a alternative magazine about choosing a child

vitamin. I'm thankful that the vitamin I give my three year old contains

all of the listed stuff.

Vit A 2,500 IU

Vit C 100 mg

Vit D 100 IU

Vit E 20 IU

Vit B6 1.5 mg

Vit B12 6 mcg

Zinc gluconate 2 mg

Iron glycinate 2 mg

Copper (Chelated) 100 mcg

Niacinamide 18 mg

Pantothenic acid 5 mg

Thiamine 1.5 mg

Folic Acid 300 mcg

Biotin 35 mcg

Calcium glycinate 15 mg

Magniesium glycinate 15 mg

Manganese aspartate 500 mcg

Potassium iodide 70 mcg

Vitamin/mineral doses

2-4 yr old use above amounts

4-7 yr old double the amount

over 7 yr old triple the amount

Always read the ingredients!! Many childrens vitamins contain Nutrasweet

and other nasty stuff!!

Hope this helps! I 'm going to try and scan this whole article and post it

later.

Hi Everyone,I've been managing my MS with 4.5ml of LDN, a good diet, daily exercise and of coarse all those supplements. I've seen Dr's Perlmutter and Lawrence's list which is way to long for me to continue with. I've had this wacky disease for over 20 yrs and I have never noticed a big difference in which supplements I'm taking. So, here is the big question, of those supplements that y'all are taking which do you feel are necessary and making a big difference. I'm looking forward to hear back and condensing my morning vitamin routine. Thanks!

Sneak preview the all-new .com. It's not radically different. Just radically better.

My list seems to be growing daily, even more quickly now with the diagnosis of Candida.

Apart from any health problems I may be creating for myself, there is the cost of it all.

A couple of days ago I decided to stop taking all supplements, see what happens and then start to build up again, with the ones I feel are most likely to benefit me the most, so I'll be watching the replies with interest.

Already after such a short time, my constipation, a long running problem, has eased.

Here is my list, in no particular order -

omega fish oils, cod liver oil, evening primrose oil, flax oil, DL Phenylalanine, zinc, selenium, copper, calcium, magnesium, Ginko Biloba, garlic, vitamin "D", grapeseed/red wine powder, acidophilus, multi-vitanins, threelac, olive leaf, anti cholesterol drink.

I'm also slowly cutting down on

Gabapentin, amitriptyline, co-proxamol

My feeling, for what it's worth, is that the oils are maybe the first to go back on the list, but which ones ?

Can you tell me how the Threelac is working for you? I only just

All the oils but make sure you take vitamin E with the oil or it actually creates oxidative stress. Also, refrigerate your oils. Oils help constipation. Best, Kathy

Thanks Kathy,

So, instead of my list shrinking, I've now got another one to add to

it, Vitamin " E " . How could I have missed that one out !!!

Only joking, I do appreciate the advice.

I did think the oils would be a fairly safe thing to be taking. I've

been taking 1000 mg of each of them, first thing in the morning.

I'll give it a rest for a while, then start them again.

How much " E " would you recommend.

The constipation seems to be getting better daily.

More " evacuations " in the last few days than in the last few months.

But enough toilet information.

Lori, if you're still there, maybe it's a sign that the candida is

clearing up, maybe the Threelac is working.

My feeling is that it's more likely to be cutting down on the

painkillers, Gabapentin etc.

But what would I know, I'm not a doctor !

I don't even have any letters after my name !

I've only been able to cut down on the painkillers since starting on

LDN, 4 weeks ago. The same LDN that the doctors wouldn't prescribe

for me!

No problems getting Gabapentin though, as much as I want.

I forgot to take my LDN last night, for the first time.

If I forget again, should I take it in the morning or just wait until

bedtime as usual ? Please advise.

Cindi

Flaxseed oil alone is not good for anyone according to Dr Budwig. Many men with prostate cancer are being helped by her diet which includes flaxseed oil thoroughly mixed into sulferated amino acids as found in lowfat yoghurt, cottage cheese and quark.

For more in depth information join the Flaxseedoil2 group and read the FILES section.

COd liver oil is a good source of vitamins A and D

fish oil is a great source for those critical omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA.

But, using UDO's oil takes a whole lot longer to correct the common imbalance of omega3s and 6s. Udo's oil would be fine for someone that has a good cholesterol ratio or does not have an EPA or DHA deficiency.

Thanks for the advice, but I don't need any blessings.

I know the Good Lord gave me MS for a very good reason.

I just wish he'd let me know what that was, and why he didn't give it

to my wife instead.

Cyndi,

Thanks for that, I've finished the Flax anyway, so I won't re-order.

The other two ?

Must have seemed like a good idea at the time.

The cod liver oil is so cheap anyway, and I think it has vitamin "D".

We don't get a lot of sun up here, even in the summer !

In fact we don't even get a summer here, the wind just drops a little for a couple of months.

My take on Danny's comments was that he was simply curious as to why

it was he that got it, not that he was wishing his wife had it instead.

I any case, all I can say is that each of us has our own row to hoe.

I've got mine (anyone wanna trade?) and Danny's got his. I didn't

think he was being bitter. (I think that the 'bitter' comment was

aimed at Danny) I could be wrong, but I think Danny was just wondering

why he wound up with his particular row to hoe; I think his comment

was not aimed at his wife. Often it is so hard to convey accurate

thoughts on a keyboard and lots of inferences are inadvertenly drawn.

When you feel that way, ask yourself, why not me? I bet the answer is God knew you could handle it. I believe we are all on a spiritual path that is going to lead us to higher places. We may never have consciously chosen this path but perhaps unconsciously to serve a higher good. Now I don't think it means we can't get well. It is just a wake-up call maybe. Just my thoughts and this is not a religious message by the way. Just spiritual so please don't think I am bringing religion into our group as I know that is taboo and wouldn't go there.

Re: [low dose naltrexone] Re: Off Topic - vitamins

LOL! I feel ya Danny!. Life is tricky like that. I got dumped a year later later after my dx'd and you know, I thought the same thing..."why wasn't HE the one one who got it instead of me?" But it all turned out for the better. He started treating me so bad I probably would have killed him had we stayed together LOL! Now I'm doing JUST FINE! (but I still wonder why me and not him?)
