Guest guest Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 I take the sublingual b12. Before I was tested I would take it often - then found out my b12 levels were good. Guest guest Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 There are no available tests that tells whether you have sufficient Metyl B12 or not, Methyl B12 is used by brain, and " made in brain " , blood tests for B12 measures peripheral status, for B12 ( not Methyl B12). Methyl B12 production is impaired by Mercury and pesticides, by inhibiting Methyl Cyclus. An indication for the need of Methyl B12 ( as an important Methyl donor) is low Homocystein ( >8) and low Red Glutathione, as very often seen in Autists. It might be worth considering supplying the injectibles for patients. You could have thiamine as well. Just an idea. Don't know if it is practical for you or if it is something Skip and Phil would want to pursue. Guest guest Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 I don't know but I am going to find out. I was on my way to work and my friend who owns a spa called me and asked if I wanted a shot. She has given her son shots for his kidney dysfunction for 15 years, so I thought, why not? I had no idea it would be so much more powerful than sublingual casue I have read the German studies indicating otherwise. All I know is I woke up around 6:30 bright eyed and bushy tailed. I usually wake-up around 8:00 .
