I think I started my RX of LDN the same

exact day as also from the same pharmacy. I’m still on 1.5….and

now fighting a major bronchitis/pneumonia/asthma situation…..that is unrelated

but interesting because I have avoided all cold type symptoms and bronchitis

and such for 10 years or so as though my autoimmune system was on such

overdrive that it bypassed all the typical colds.

Week LDN Blog update

I'm enjoying your blog

; thanks for sharing it with us. I am

about 3 weeks ahead of you on the LDN so I am anxious to see if we

have similar experiences. Sort of like we are all Lost on the MS

island and trying to figure it out together, huh? Joyce

I had a similar experience in that after being on LDN for a month, I got my

first cold in twenty years. (I've now been on LDN for 8 months and have

had MS for 42 years.)

best wishes to all,

marcia

It does, but that does not preclude all

forms of disease all the time.  Your immune system is under a constant, heavy

strain with any autoimmune disease be it MS, ALS, cancer, arthritis, etc…

If your body is in a continual battle, it is quite possible for additional

problems to arise that temporarily overwhelm the immune system; cold, flu,

temporary flareups of arthritis, etc…

So yes,  under given conditions, a cold

happened.

I have terminal cancer.  I just got a cold

about 5 weeks ago that made death look like a possible blessing for the first 3

days.  This was the first cold I have had since being on LDN.  Did the LDN

fail?  No, it kept the cold from being worse or maybe other bad things

happening.  As long as it is not a recurring pattern, you survived and are

thankful that the boost in immune system response kept if from being worse.

Bruce, Sorry to hear about the cancer but I really feel your doing the right thing with LDN...I don't want to confuse you about my opinion of LDN. I strongly believe that it is a fantastic tool and wish you the best. The reason for my question, "I thought it was supposed to boost your immune system?" was the idea of my mom taking LDN for COPD, a cold could be catastrophic. I was promoting LDN to her for that reason, to avoid the repeated antibiotics she has been prescribed (6) so far this year.(In 4 months technically) and she is antibiotic resistant because of a chronic cold, cough, URI. When I hear "cold" and "LDN" in the same sentence, my ears perk! Bruce Guilmette PhD <bruce@...> wrote: It does, but that does not preclude all forms of disease all the time.
