I'm currently unemployed and living with my fiance, so I don't have insurance or income of my own. That's why I'm forced to go to the county clinic. > The reason I asked, is there are Companies out there that >sometimes > will help with Machines, and strips besides County Health >agencies... > Especially if you are insuline. I'm not on insulin at this point. A nurse at a festival I attended told me to contact the companies that make the anywhere monitors and see if I can't get a free one. Aazari The Art of Jolie E. Guest guest
Turns out my ever-attentive fiance found a cheap monitor that allows for arm testing. It only cost $20. I won't be able to start using it until I use up the strips we just ordered, but it will allow me to test on the arm at least most of the time. :-) Yay! That should give my poor fingers a rest. Guest guest
I've had an arm tester used on me before. I bleed pretty well with thin blood vessels and thin blood. :-p I don't think it's going to be much problem. If I keep on sticking my fingers, though, I'm going to have to increase the depth on the jabber *owie!*. I'm already developing " diabetic callouses " , the fingertip skin hardening up in self defense from all the poking. Aazari The Art of Jolie E. Happily, the strips are cheaper than the ones I'm currently using. The one drawback is they only come in a 50 ct package which is a little annoying. Aazari The Art of Jolie E.
