So far

my hope that I can gradually figure out what to eat and how to live with it.

Hi Becky,

You will get control of your diabetes and you will find that it is easy or at

least fairly easy to control. It may take a few months but it should happen

for you.

I've had diabetes over 5 yrs and I don't have any problems whatsoever. For

the first year, I was on meds. I very seldom think of diabetes, other than

when I'm reading the emails.

I had cancer almost 10 yrs ago and if I had a choice between cancer and

diabetes, I would take diabetes and never look back. I can control my diabetes,

I

could not control cancer, other than having a lot of faith in God that I would

be healed. I lost one of my very best friends to cancer this past June. I

have diabetes, but I plan to live a long and healthy life. I will not let it

control me.

Just take one day at a time and you'll do okay.

hugs

Eunice

In my breast cancer group on Yahoo

we are seeing a correlation between high blood sugar and cancer

Hi Becky,

If it is okay, I'll keep you in my prayers for a great mammogram on Tues. I

know exactly how you are feeling. I still get that anxious/scary feeling

every time I go for a mammogram. Are you taking Tamoxifen? I took it for 8

years, now I'm on Femara. I do get some joint pain from the Femara, but it

seems

to be getting better. The joint pain is not too bad, at least it hasn't slowed

me down. I don't even take a Tylenol for it. I can live with the pain in

the joints.

My diabetes is caused mostly by the high dosages of steroids I took when I

was on chemo. I gained around 45 lbs in less than 2 months. Stress will cause

high blood sugar and anyone that has cancer is going to be under stress, so I

can agree with the correlation between high blood sugar and cancer.

I'll be sending you positive thoughts on Tuesday and every day.

hugs

Eunice

Are you on insulin now, or nothing? Curious because my husband had been

on Rx drugs and may go to insulin at his next Dr. appt.

No insulin, no Rx drugs, no natural supplements either? Wow. That's

fantastic. Do you still test? What are your numbers? My husband went

off everything and his numbers are now going into the 300s and he's had

one 407.
