I'm curious here - have you been newly diagnosed since you've only been

on meds for a week? I'm wondering if the Dr. will put my husband back

on meds when he sees his BS records today. He was on Glipizide but

never felt good on them, extreme fatigue and dizzy spells. What are you

on? Any problems with it?

I just read your note to my husband and he suggests you familiarize

yourself with the glycemic index prior to the appointments because

dietitians and nutritionists don't seem to recognize the importance of

the GI as far as diabetics are concerned. For example, in the hospital

he was given potatoes and corn as part of a diabetic diet and it was

ordered by their dietitian.

I was trying to print out the GI list when my printer ran out of ink, so

I'll finish it when I can afford to get the cartridge. Can't afford it right

now as I'm still looking for work and our budget is thin due to us going to

a festival this weekend.

It could be the added fat in the food causing the carbs to not " spike " as

fast. Fat has that effect on many people.

Angelia in OR who is a taco bell junkie... (though I keep it under control)
