Guest guest
It doesn't matter whether you get pink or blue. If you are using the pink, and the result is alkaline the paper will turn blue. If you are using the blue, and the result is acid the paper will turn pink. If you are using pink, and the result is acid the paper will stay pink. If you are using blue and the result is alkaline, the paper will stay blue. It is called litmus paper. I have gotten it at a drug store. Guest guest
Dear Ora I know that this was an old posting, but I just wanted to ask you re: the below, what is the normal PH of the vagina supposed to be, ie internally and more importantly externally for me ? I want to get some of this litmus paper and test at home to see what my current state is. I know that sounds awful but every time I go to the loo, I have this really awful smell Yuuew !!!, its so embarrassing, I shower twice a day, so I know its not that. I cant figure out what is causing it. I tried bathing in bicard of soda for a few days and at first it was really great, helped with my normal uncomfortable feeling that I always have, as well as the smell but after a few days I stopped using it as I was getting really itchy and I don’t know if I upset the balance down there. Do you know if bathing in white vinegar neutralises the vagina ? Many thanks for below, most interesting Kind regards Mandy Re: PH strips/Help * It doesn't matter whether you get pink or blue. Guest guest
Your ph will vary at different times but the litmus paper will not give the numbers of the variation. It will merely tell you whether it is alkaline or acidic. For more on the subject of variation see: http://herkules.oulu.fi/isbn9514266641/html/x548.html http://www.infertilitytutorials.com/pelvic_members/abnormal_cervical.cfm Ora >Dear Ora > >I know that this was an old posting, but I just wanted to ask you re: the >below, what is the normal PH of the vagina supposed to be, ie internally and >more importantly externally for me ?
