My 13 yr old daughter has been having headaches (among other problems) for 9 months now. We've been doing the doctor rounds and thought we had it all traced back to ACM. Last week Dr. Ellenbogen did the cine MRI to check spinal fluid flow. It turns out the flow is fine. Since her herniation isn't too large (5-7 mm) Dr. E is now telling us the problems are not due to ACM and we need to see the neurologist again. I don't know what to do now. I was pretty shocked when we got the results and wasn't able to think up questions on the phone so now I don't know where to go from here. He did say he would suggest amitriptyelene to see if that helped. I know Dr. E is one of the best in the country and he seemed very nice when we saw him in June, but now should I just accept what he says or keep pushing? I'm at a loss because we were all prepared for him to say surgery was needed soon not I can't help you.
