Guest guest
Hi everyone- I went to the dermatologist on Thursday. I didn't care for him and he barely looked at me. He didn't even let me ask any questions before he was out the door. Anyways, he can't find anything " serious " , he thinks I have either eczema or have just been irritating myself in some other way. He is having me try protopic ointment, it is safer that a steroid and no serious side effects. He said it could take up to 6 weeks to work, but he also said it doesn't work for everybody. I have been using it for a few days now, and I haven't noticed any improvement yet, but I think it is too soon to tell Has anyone ever tried this? Guest guest
Jill, Question for you about the Protopic Oint. Does it contain that Proplyene glycerol (I think I mess up on the spelling everytime ) ??? I've found that products that I used i.e. Premarin crm, Bactroban that had that and it burned also but didn't work a bit. You got my attention about it cuz I'd try anything at this point. Can you check the ingrediants and see if it has it? Holly

Guest guest
Hi Mandy- I will keep you posted on the protopic, so far i am having improvement with redness, although that may just be a coincidence. I actually suggested bathing in white vinegar (1/2 cup) Or is that the same thing? I have used baking soda also, but I didn't get much relief with that. The vinegar helps with itching and helps restore the natural ph balance of your skin.
