Guest guest
Has anyone out there with a Vita Mix that is using it to grind grains or beans? I decided to try and grind some garbanzo beans in it and that 'looks' pretty good. Haven't baked with it yet. So, even though I'd just bought some rice flour, I decided to try some rice in the Vita Mix. I tried my ground rice flour with the Golden cake recipe. Maybe it needs to be ground just a bit longer since it had a slight gritty taste and the cake sunk just a tiny bit but Evan ate two pieces of it. I had to put it up into the cupboard to keep him out of it. Even his brother and I liked it. I am going to try and have some snacks made up before school starts so that Evan can have his goodies at school. We are not completely GFCF yet but slowly getting there. I think the Vita Mix just might help me with some of those flours that our local stores do not carry. Now can I use regular tapioca to make tapioca flour? --Betty
