Guest guest
Prices might vary depending on what location you're in. Also, you need the name of the insulin as there is a difference in prices. I get mine at no cost, so I really don't know. I do pay 12 for a box of 100 syringes. The best thing to do is call your local pharmacy. If you have Costco, they tend to be cheapest in town, at least here in Kansas City. Deborah Bob wanted me to check prices on insulin, but I really can't do this as we don't even know if he'll be put on it yet, let alone what kind and how much. Could some of you Type 2s on insulin give me an idea of a monthly cost? What do syringes and needles cost for a month's supply? Dr. mentioned that Bob might need 2 shots a day. We are on medicare and don't qualify for the $600 reimbursement, so we get no drug benefit. Amber

All we have is WalMart. I have figured out that I can't buy insulin from our Rx source, www.drugstore.com because it must be shipped overnight and the shipping cost would be prohibitive. Too bad they don't cover the Rx. I'm glad they do at least cover testing supplies. We really don't know what the 2006 drug coverage is supposed to entail.
