I will be posting my weigh next Tuesday. My doctor ask me not to weigh until

I see him on Tuesday. It has been hard not to step on those scales everyday

but I am waiting. He started changing my insulin doses two week ago so I am

taking less in the am and pm. I also can't wait to see the A1c result. I am

hoping it is better than my first at 8.8. So will post next Tuesday.

Well, I started exercising regularly, and my weight went up to 251

lbs...a gain of about 2-3 lbs. That was in the first 2 weeks of the

month. Last 2 weeks I have lost down to 249 lbs - so going in the

right direction. My arms (bicepts) really bulk up quickly, which can

be strange.

Just got to keep it up and hope to see some positive change. I'm off

for 30 mins on the rowing machine in about an hour.

With new job and busy, busy with the Holidays, I haven't been able to post

at all. I got through the holidays with only a two lb. gain and am starting

back on my food & exercise program with enthusiasm! My goal for January is

a modest 1 lb per week, total for Jan = 4 lbs.

Hello My name is and I want to join the Weight Loss Commitment

I am new to this group. Diagnosed type 2 around the first of October, 2003.

For 5 months of dieting and exercise, I lost no weight and was very

disillusioned as it seemed I was eating so much less and exercising so much

more. My doctor recommended Atkins diet and I started it a little over a week

ago. Have lost 5 pounds and want to lose 20 total.

Hi all,

I don't remember what I started February at... I made my 5 pound

commitment after the first week at 190 lbs. (I think). At any rate,

this morning I weighed 184.5. So, I would say I met my goal.

Also, I stopped taking Glucotrol XL last week (no meds). My BG is in

control and I feel great.

How? I am sticking close to my 2000 cal ADA diet, and I exercise 2x

per day (30 minutes on treadmill each time, plus some stretching and

strength training like pushups, situps, and pullups...).

I am also taking 200mg Chromium/day, 3000mg Flaxseed Oil/day, 1 multi-

vitamin/day, and of course, 1/2t. of cinamon on my oatmeal.

Basically, I feel great right now and I hope it stays that way.

I will weigh no more than 179.5 pounds on April 1st.

oops...goal for March same as Feb...4 pounds...but we'll see. lol.

i lost 1 and a half or so...my scale fluctuates...so am glad. any is

something.

I was a bonehead and forgot to write down what weight I started at for

February, but today I am 180. Since I am struggling, my goal is not to gain

any more weight in March.

Hi Eunice - Carole in Las Vegas here. My computeer crashed 3 weeks ago

so I had to go no mail. Should be back sometime next week but I wanted to

check in on my weight loss.

I made my goal and am now 145 (again). Going for another 5 lbs this month.
