Guest guest Posted August 14, 2001 Report Share Posted August 14, 2001 had a MRI last week as she is having more of her symtoms creep back up. Everything is real tight again. We knew she still had restricted flow even after her decompression 2 1/2 years ago - though it sounds now if things are even tighter. I always get a copy of the MRI films while I am there. Even though I don't really know what I'm looking at I like to " study " them. I scaned a few of the views into my computer - comes out really good and you can see things better than just looking at the films. I saw something on one area near the brain stem/spinal cord area that had a blurry tissue like appearance and that area should have been black. I emailed 's doctor with the particular view I was looking at so he could tell me what it was. He called said it was " pannus " and that it was part of her malformation. But I'm not really sure if he was talking about the other problems that she has or if he was referring to the Chairi Malformation. But anyway, I've done some searching and can't seem to come up with what pannus means. Anyone have any ideas??
