Guest guest
Just got my a1c results for my first testing after diagnosis. I was diagnosed in March with an A1C of 7.2 andl it's down to 6.2 now, nearly in the normal ranges. Funny thing is I was way off my food plan last month and still did well, guess the weight loss helped (I've lost 25lbs since March). Speaking of weight loss I'm finally off the plateau that lasted the whole month of June and have lost 5 lbs. so far this month....YIPPEE. It's so much more motivational to be actually getting somewhere again instead of being stuck in a holding pattern. My LDL was 149 so we'll talk about Statins at my next appt if it's not down. I was also spilling some protein so finally got her to treat my high bp a little more aggressively which I've been attempting for about a year now. I have an extensive family hx of high BP and stroke. So overall a good appt. Tammy in OR
