YIKES!

We live in Seattle and its been on the news for quite some time now.

Hopefully the 'burp' will make it ease up a little. Gosh! All us diabetics

need is more stress to raise our bg's.

In case anyone is interested, you can go to www.kgw.com and check out the

latest " burp " that Mt. St. Helens just spewed. I'm sure it won't be the last

but after waiting all week for it to do SOMETHING, I'm glad it finally did.

I'm supposed to spend tomorrow morning watching my nieces play soccer in a

town that is right at the base of the mountain (only about 35 miles from

here). I think I'll stay home! tee hee!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Don't worry about the burping. Worry when it starts to fart....

Its a long ways. Neither us in the Seattle area or your brother in

Bremerton would be in any kind of life threatening danger. The worst that

would happen to us is ash if the wind blew the right direction. We're 3 or

so hours north of Portland, 3 1/2 hours if you go the speed limit and Helens

is to the North East of Portland if I remember right. Correct me if I'm

wrong.

Not that close - Mt Rainier is our local mountain. I think Mt Baker is

the next big one. However, when Mt St Helens did it's big bit last time

(1988) it blew ash at least as far as Idaho. As for earthquakes and

tremors, it's pretty far away to effect us. We'd be lucky to even feel it.
