Guest guest Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 As I have gotten older, I have been having more and more problems dealing with anxiety, not the anxiety itself. I have a team of doctors who help me and we are fairly certain that the years and years of "fight or flight" responses, due to either a tough life, or more probably, dealing with the effects of FMS, CFS, etc. that I have had since childhood. The current theory we are dealing with is exactly as you put it - adrenal exhaustion. If I have any experience that makes any adrenaline rush through my body (which it does quickly at the slightest provocation), it will kick my FMS into a higher category within days. We've found that there is a direct correlation between adrenaline rushes and the severity of my FMS! I've thought about having tests done on my adrenal glands and my pancreas and other body parts associated with adrenaline. Does anyone have any suggestions or have the same experience?
