Guest guest
, I hate to say it but keto meals do appear gross, on paper that is. I have used cream oil drinks to get the fat up so the food can be more palatable. You can hide alot of butter and cream in eggs, I melt the butter in the microwave, add egg, cream and veggie, tomatoes and cooked zucchini both work well. You may also find cream, fruit and oil whips up nicely with a hand blender, this can be eaten as is like yoghurt or freeze into icecream. With a chicken, cucumber, tomato salad with mayo dressing, not bad at all, my son took this to pre-school for lunch for 2 years. Flour tortillas are a good source of carb. Add melted cheese, chicken and you have a yummy quesadilla! He loves green beans so I melt butter add, chicken or ham and green beans and he is a happy camper, with a cream oil drink on the side of course. 'We have been on a 4:1 ratio for 3 years and are weaning from the diet now, I am having great difficulty finding carbs to add to meals that do not make them too big! He is so used to small ammounts now. Hang in there, Jill, Blair's mom Keto kid since 8/99 down to 1:5 ratio!
