Guest guest
Exactly. It is apparently very good. I've never seen it here. Re: Blue Bunny Bars - Deb What's Blue Bunny ice cream? do they make a low sugar/low carb ice cream or something? Is it available in the US. I miss ice cream so bad. I want ice cream. It seems there is a great variety in terms of what foods various people will react to, so that nobody is able to give me any kind of specific advice regarding what I can or can not eat. It seems I have to figure this all out for myself. So far, however, since being diagnosed just this weekend, I have avoided carbs and sugar like the plague. Yesterday, 3 eggwhites with cheddar cheese, 3 hamburger patties, one serving peas (which I have since learned carry excessive sugar). Today, 3 eggwhites, small bowl of Fiber one, celery and peanut butter, salad with tuna. At this rate I suspect I WILL lose weight, if I can keep this up. I feel tired, though, and wonder if perhaps my bg hasn't gone too low, now. I haven not yet procured a glucose meter, as the drug store is giving me a run around about my insurance and I don't get paid until tomorrow so that I can just buy the damned thing. Some ice cream sure sounds good about now... tony --- http://www.School-library.net Freedom to Learn! ____________________________________________________________ Find what you are looking for with the Lycos Yellow Pages http://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.asp?SRC\ =lycos10
Guest guest
Tony I am not saying my diet is perfect but it works for me. Everyone is different I know so test 2 hours after a meal will tell you what bothers you. I have coffee with coffeemate and Splenda, 1/2 cup of 1 minute oatmeal (not instant) with splenda, little margarine and some milk in it. 1/2 orange or some berries or 1/8 cantaloupe for breakfast. Then on Sunday I do have a whole wheat waffle with turkey bacon or 2 pieces of whole wheat toast sugarfree with sugarfree jelly, a whole scrambled egg and turkey bacon, go low carb at lunch and never fried food, I consider 1/2 cup a serving. Broccoli, string beans and things that grow above ground are good..I can eat potatoes either kind and they do not bother me (could be the small servings) and for supper I have a half sandwich with sliced meat, lettuce, tomato and Swiss cheese or Swiss cheese toast and some olives. I have had so many people that want to know what I did to loose weight ask me for what I eat I have typed it out and have it on Microsoft word if anyone wants it. I eat the Blue Bunny bars also and my Bg's stay between 70-110 I have lost over 35 pounds since June 24th. But I am not a food craver so that has helped. I will be happy to send anyone this that would like it. I also eat out almost every day.
