Hi Alice,

Do u have insurance? The reason why I m asking is ...

Sometimes insurance will pay for certain brands of testers

and testing supplies over another brand.

So what I would need to do is find out which my iinsurance pays for and have the

doctor write a prescription or something?

If your insurance is through work, talk to your HR people. If it is

private, talk to your agent. If they can't answer your questions, call

the customer service number for the company.

Even if your insurance will not pay, the cost of your monitor and

supplies may be deductable as medical expenses.

Check with your doctor. Sometimes they have software to download certain

meters and would prefer that you had that type. Also, check your local

pharmacy and stores and see what type of meters and supplies they have

and what the costs are. Having a cheap meter that uses expensive

supplies doesn't help.
