Sometimes insurance will pay for certain brands of testers and testing supplies over another brand. Guest guest
If your insurance is through work, talk to your HR people. If it is private, talk to your agent. If they can't answer your questions, call the customer service number for the company. Even if your insurance will not pay, the cost of your monitor and supplies may be deductable as medical expenses. Sometimes they have software to download certain meters and would prefer that you had that type. Also, check your local pharmacy and stores and see what type of meters and supplies they have and what the costs are. Having a cheap meter that uses expensive supplies doesn't help.
