Guest guest
it is sooo good, not glue like at all. I don't cook mine as " long " , because I am usually starving. so it is a little " underdone " so chewy and so full of flavor. Nutty and sweet at the same time. I add fruit (usually frozen that I have picked myself and frozen), splenda, and cinnamon. I can even eat this cold. no gagging for me! I guess that I am going to have to cook it for about 20 min next time and see. I can say that it sticks with me longer than the other icky glue oatmeal that I HATE. It looks different, and feels different in my mouth and tummy. Like I said, less of the glue feeling. I don't even feel that I am eating oatmeal. it is a yummy treat that I get to have for breakfast! I have found that there is very little rise in blood sugar after eating it. I did test an hour after eating, then 2 hours after eating, and there was only a 10-15 point rise even 1 hour later. Though remember, you may be different. I tend to have a protein with my oatmeal, just because it helps me to fill up a bit, and I workout usually an hour or so after breakfast, so I need to have the extra energy. Angelia in OR who loves bob's red mill products... though I get my stuff bulk from the co-op. Guest guest
Some people like to put oatmeal in the crockpot last thing before they go to bed at night and have it ready in the morning. Guest guest
That is a good Idea... I do have a smaller crock pot laying round here somewhere. Though... I only eat about a cup of oatmeal when I do eat it, don't know if it is worth the time to set up the crock pot. I wonder if it would work in the rice cooker too?? Gonna have to try!
