Children's chewable ARE NOT what anyone should be taking............ you need a chewable adult vitamin, or liquid from a vitamin store.......... children's vitamins don't have all the things we need, and don't forget to take the B12 dissolve in the mouth kind, calcium, iron all are VERY important to hair, skin, health............... Guest guest Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 This is new to me. My doctor says his patients can take Flintstones chewables with iron. Is this bad advice. Can someone tell me the kind of chewable vitamins are recommended. I gagged on liquid vitamins. Too nasty! Bridget > > > In a message dated 5/8/2006 8:01:09 P.M. Guest guest Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Like I mentioned awhile ago, I haven't had the surgery yet - but there is a Centrum adult chewable multi vitamin that is pretty good. It's the only one I can stand. > > > > This is new to me. My doctor says his patients can take Flintstones > chewables with iron. Guest guest Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 I get mine from this place http://tinyurl.com/zn557 I do a multi vitamin, calcium citrate (Important to do the citrate version of calcium), sublingual B-12, & Iron. I get them in capsule form and I take them with warm water, in the hopes that it helps dissolve the capsule sooner. I'm almost 2 years out and my labs have been great!! I feel like this is a better alternative to the children's vites. Not that they are bad, I just think we get more from adult strength vits. Hugs!! > > > > > > In a message dated 5/8/2006 8:01:09 P.M. Guest guest Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Hi, For what its worth I had my surgery 9/22/03 and was recommended 2 flintstones a day, 4 chewable calcium citrate and B12SL once a week and drank a smoothie king gladiator in banana mango per day and labs were better than normal if that's possible. I just had labs drawn and yet to see the results but I suspect not good - been having medical problems. I think now plenty companies are jumping on the WLS bandwagon. -- Re: Re: Stage 2 eating post WLS In a message dated 5/12/2006 6:01:21 P.M. I have heard of this.............. but only in fun when the teachers of the blue cross classes said that years ago doctors recommended this until it was found that people were getting sick, having permanent neurological damage and actually dying from not taking the proper vitamins. .................
