Guest guest
Hi Peggy, I now suffer from migraines. These are horrible, horrible headaches. I have suffered the severe nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light and noise with sometimes inability to move. A site I recommend to learning more on headaches is headaches.com. I have been put on Topomax for these now after trying two other medications. So afar so good as Topomax is suppose to prevent them from happening. Get some help for these can be incapicitating and we know what that is like from having the pain of Fibro. Guest guest
Dear Peggy, Headaches that are one sided like that are usually classified as migranes. Yes, I suffer from them from time to time, but it is not necessarily linked to fibro. Still, they are serious and quite dibilitating and your Dr. should know about them. Usually along with the pulsing pain comes nausea (sometimes vomiting) sensitivity to light or sound. Any of that? Your Dr. needs to know this stuff, as there are some good meds available to treat migranes these days. Good luck!! Guest guest
I do! I have awful headaches. I am told I have migraines and then cluster headaches, and then a stresser headache. The later is the one that is on my right side of my head and it thumbs awfully. I take pamalore aka Noritriplyn (sp) twice a day. Some times my headaches are sooo bad I have to go in to the hospital for shots. My Nero Doctor is trying to control them but oy. The worst headaches for me are the Cluster ones. Guest guest
>Hi Peggy, I also have headaches like you describe. Mine seem to be related to the muscles in that side of my neck, typically on the right side. I have mentioned these to my rheumatologist but they seem to get dismissed so I can't offer any suggestions on treatment. I am relatively new to this fibro thing. I actually got the diagnosis from the rheumy almost two years ago but after reading some the posts here my doctor isn't offering any of the treatments mentioned except cymbalta. She doesn't believe in giving narcs for pain which is ok with me. I would prefer not to take them if possible but some days the pain is so intense I would take just about anything if I was told it would help. If you find out anything about the headaches please share. > Has anyone had headaches, that are only on the side of the head toward > the back? Guest guest
Hi All, If you have neck pain assoiciated with headache it is very possible that you have TMJ. It is ususally caused by grinding or clenching your teeth at night. I went through a horrible period of time with it last year. Ask your dentist about it. I had an orthodontist make a bite guard that I wear at night. If I don't wear it I always wake up with a headache.
