Guest guest Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 Stacey, I'm doing great! Ihad the surgery Feb. 9, 2006 and have lost from 269 down to 232 and I'm 5' 7 " so I now fit into a size 18 again, down from a 22-24! The eating changes have been fine. The hardest thing to deal wiith are air bubbles. Get the book The Skinny on Weight Loss Surgery, it will prepare you for what to expect ! I just got it, and I experienced a lot of what they discuss. I wish I'd had it before now. It reassured me though, that I am doing great! I'm glad you know others in Germany who have had the surgery! staceyneubig wrote: Thanks for the encouraging words. I know of atleast 2 others here in Germany that have had the surgery with no problems. How are you doing post op? Stacey > > I lived in fort for 3 years as a child when my Dad was in the Army. I'm 44 now and 7 weeks post op. I think it is great you have the opportunity to have the surgery, I know the military insurance would not approve you if Dr. Weiner (hard to believe that is his name) wasn't reputatable. Best of luck! > We are a very active support group. If the email becomes overwhelming, please change your setting to NO EMAIL! Please contact Group Creator Robyn@... Quote
